Strategy plays a role in this hole, so much so, that long-time member, Dr. Dan Kirschenbaum did a study of this hole for his book, Smart Golf. Water on the left begins at approximately 200 yards from the middle of the tee box. A hazard on the right pinches the fairway at about 125 yards. Two bunkers protect the back left portion of the green. Take great care not to go over this green. Challenge the fairway with a longer shot to have a short iron into this green or lay back and you will need a longer iron into this shorter, but wider, green. |
