Professionally at the Club:

Dan is currently the Tournament Director for the Winnetka Golf Club.  Dan has been an assistant professional at WGC for the previous 7 seasons.  His areas of responsibility include: CDGA handicapping, starter/ranger staffing and group outings.  Prior to his current role, Dan served as Men’s and Womens’ Club Liaison for numerous seasons. 

Teaching:

Dan has given over 1,500 private lessons in his tenure at WGC.  Dan also teaches in a majority of the outstanding camps and clinics which are offered annually.  Dan’s teaching philosophy revolves around a simple set of laws which all golfers should attempt to follow.  Dan has always cared more about your game than his own and teaches all ages/abilities.  His belief is that all golfers should first learn to have fun with the sport before they become talented.

Personal:
Dan takes great pride in remembering names and faces.  Try him, he’s good!  Dan is the son of A.J. & Jack and nephew of longtime Winnetka resident and Today Show correspondent, Mike Leonard.  Mike’s book and PBS series, ‘Ride of our Lives’ documents the travels of Dan’s grandparents, Marge and Jack.  In addition, Dan coaches Travel Basketball in the North Suburban Basketball League in the winter months.
