Winnetka Par 3 -
Junior Tournament Series -
"The Majors”
The Winnetka Golf Club is offering an entry level tournament series for juniors. The goal is for players to experience a fun, low pressure competitive atmosphere. Players are eligible to sign up for a single event or the entire series. All tournaments are one day stroke play events with flights by age. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as tournament group assistants.
Tournament Dates
• Saturday, May 22 (Par 3 Masters)
• Saturday, June 12 (Winnetka Par 3 Jr. Open)
• Saturday, July 10 (Par 3 Players Championship)
• Saturday, August 7 (Skokie Playfield Championship)
Participants will receive a tee gift. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of each flight. Flights are 8-10 Boys, 8-10 Girls, 11-12 Boys, 11-12 Girls and Overall Championship and Runner-up.

Junior Elite Program
Mission: To create a fun and enthusiastic environment that prepares junior golfers for competitive and high school golf through the support and guidance of PGA Professionals.
What is the Junior Elite program?
The Junior Elite program is a program designed to take juniors from our camps and clinics and put them into a more competitive atmosphere. This program runs for 10 weeks in which players have supervised practice and instruction 2-3 times a week. On Mondays they play as a team in a travel league competing against teams from other courses. The Elite program is the final step for a junior looking to play high school golf or simply gain a greater edge for tournament play. In this program, students will not only learn how to swing the club, but more importantly how to practice and play.

Spring Swing
This program is designed to serve as a spring tune-up for the upcoming season. It will consist of par 3 course play time, course management along with pre-round instruction and proper warm-up techniques. All participants will receive a WGC Academy T-Shirt and Bag Tag.
Pre-Requisite: Completed a Winnetka Golf Club Academy program, had private instruction or be able to play the par 3 course in a timely manner.

Junior House League Golf
This program will feature team competitions on the par 3-course and serve as an introduction to juniors who are interested in becoming more familiar with the competitive aspect of golf. Participants will be evaluated and assigned to teams of equal ability. House League will meet 15 times (3 times a week) over the season for matches along with practices. The number of teams and the size of the teams will be dependent on the number of sign-ups. All participants will receive a WGC Academy T-Shirt (team colors) and Bag Tag.
Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy clinic, had private instruction or able to hit the ball in the air 3 out of 5 times.

WGC Academy Junior Golf 5-Day Clinics
The Winnetka Golf Club Academy Junior clinic series offer youth ages 5 and older an introduction to the game and the opportunity to develop an excellent foundation in the skills they will need for a lifetime of golf enjoyment. It is the chief goal of staff professionals and instructors that every student enjoys their time spent at the club.
All clinics are taught by PGA golf professionals.
Pee Wee Clinics
Staff professionals have created a fun curriculum to welcome 5 & 6 year olds to the game of golf. Maximum student to teacher ratio will be 5 to 1 for this program. All participants will receive a WGC Academy T-Shirt and Bag Tag.

Junior Player Development Clinics
Staff professionals expand on fundamentals introduced in the Pee Wee series. Maximum student to teacher ratio will be 6 to 1 for this program. All participants will receive a WGC Academy T-Shirt and Bag Tag. Upon completion of this program students should be able to get in a proper golf set-up and hit the ball in the air more often than not.

• Pick up where Pee Wee leaves off
• To introduce and expand on full swing fundamentals posture, grip and alignment
• Putting, chipping and etiquette covered as well

WGC Academy Junior Golf 5-Day Camps
The Winnetka Golf Club Academy Junior camp series offer youth ages 9 and older an opportunity to reinforce and build on the skills they have acquired in the clinics. The camps provide juniors the ability to sharpen their games on the course with course management, rules of the game and etiquette presented in a positive learning environment. All camps are instructed by PGA golf professionals unlike other area junior golf camps.
Junior Player Camps
Program Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy clinic had private instruction or able to hit the ball in the air 3 out of 5 times. Maximum student to teacher ratio will be 6 to 1 for this program.
Upon Completion: Students should be able to play the par 3 course on their own in a timely manor and have a working knowledge of rules and etiquette.
All participants will receive a WGC Academy T-Shirt, Daily Snack and Bag Tag.
Program Goals
• Building on the full swing to become more fundamentally sound
• To Introduce short game techniques
• Daily play time on the par 3 course covering:
• Course management
• Basic rules of the game
• Reviewing proper golf etiquette
• Use of a wide variety of teaching aids, drills and fun games to reinforce the concepts

Advanced Junior Player Camps
Program Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy Players Camp, been approved by an instructor through private instruction or be able to hit the ball in the air and over 100 yards with a club of their choosing. Maximum student to teacher ratio will be 5 to 1 for this program.
Upon Completion: Students should have an increased knowledge of the golf swing and more advanced short game skills along with improved course management.
All participants will receive Lunch each Day, a WGC Academy T-Shirt, Daily Bag Tag and Prizes.
Program Goals
• Designed to sharpen student’s skills and increase self-confidence
• Specific attention given to applying a fundamentally sound golf swing and short game to the course
• Introduce advanced short game techniques
• Daily play time on the par 3 & 18 hole course covering:
• Course management
• Rules of the game
• Reviewing proper golf etiquette
• Video analysis
• Use of a wide variety of teaching aids, drills and fun games to reinforce the concepts
